Loyalty

Loyalty that lives in the wallet, not in a login

Most dispensary loyalty programs die in a portal nobody opens or an SMS thread carriers keep filtering. Ours lives where your customer already looks every day: a wallet card with live points on its face, promo artwork that updates, and a lock-screen presence, backed by segments and win-back campaigns built from real POS purchases.

It's loyalty as a visible object, not a database row. And because it shares a platform with our email marketing and POS revenue attribution, you can finally see what the program earns at the register.

What the program includes

Signup engine

A store QR opens a hosted join page that enrolls the member on the spot; existing members verify with a one-time code by SMS or email. Every signup keeps a consent record: IP, agent, and a tamper-evident trail.

Points on the card, not in a portal

Balances sync to every installed Apple and Google Wallet card automatically, and Apple refreshes live when the pass is opened. Members never log in to check points. The card is the account.

Budtender attribution

Per-budtender tracked signup QRs, with automatic attribution from POS tickets and staff purchases auto-excluded. Know which budtenders actually grow your list, and reward them for it.

Win-back, built for you

The platform detects regulars who've gone quiet from real purchase history (one store surfaced 899 lapsed regulars) and builds the matching segment plus a ready-to-send win-back email for you to review and fire.

Purchase-rule segments

Plain-language audience rules on real POS tickets: purchased or didn't purchase in the last N days, purchase count over X, spend over $X. Loyalty tiers by behavior, not by guesswork.

Compliance kept in sync

Signed one-click unsubscribes, suppression enforced at send time, and two-way opt-out sync with Alpine IQ if you keep your loyalty there. Compliance never drifts between systems.

Already on Alpine IQ? Keep it.

You don't have to rip out your existing loyalty program to get any of this. Our Alpine IQ integration syncs your AIQ points onto the wallet cards, targets your existing AIQ audiences for email from day one, and keeps opt-outs synchronized in both directions so compliance never drifts. Coexist first, measure the results, and move the rest only when the numbers convince you.

Versus Alpine IQ and SpringBig loyalty

Both incumbents run capable points engines. That part of loyalty is a solved problem. The difference is where the program lives and what it costs to run. SpringBig is SMS-first: its own communications page lists three channels (SMS/MMS, email, and push notifications delivered "through the native app"), so the member experience rides on text messages that carriers filter and an app your customers have to install, with pricing that's reportedly message-credit based (quote-based, so confirm with them). It offers no native Apple or Google Wallet passes: its "wallet" is a web and in-app experience. Alpine IQ markets its loyalty as "reward tiers, gamification, and omni-channel sign-up," and its wallet pass genuinely updates points and fields in real time, but the pass artwork never changes, and operators report the platform needs experienced management (there's an agency market just for running it) with quote-based pricing you discover on a sales call.

Our program puts the entire membership in the phone's native wallet, updates both points and artwork, attributes signups to individual budtenders from ticket data, and ships with flat, public pricing. And where their retention tooling is template-driven, our win-back detection reads your actual tickets and hands you the segment and the email together.

Fair note: if your loyalty strategy depends on SMS blasts or multi-step automation journeys today, the incumbents have those and we don't. We're email, wallet, and lock-screen surfacing, with automations on the roadmap. Many stores get the best of both by keeping AIQ loyalty and adding our card and sending on top.

Versus generic loyalty apps

Smile.io-style ecommerce widgets, punch-card apps, and POS-agnostic "rewards platforms" share three dispensary-shaped holes. They don't integrate with cannabis POS systems, so points don't accrue from real tickets: someone at the counter is typing phone numbers or stamping screens. Their terms of service frequently exclude cannabis, which puts your entire membership database one policy-enforcement email away from disappearing. And most demand an app download or account login, which is where enrollment goes to die.

A dispensary loyalty program has to enroll in seconds at a busy counter, accrue from the register automatically, and reach members without a carrier or an app store in the middle. That's the whole design brief for ours, and it's why the program comes bundled with campaigns that generate themselves from the same POS data.
