Better marketing for Dutchie stores, without leaving Dutchie
Dutchie runs your store. We run your inbox and your customers' wallets. Dutchie now sells its own marketing add-on, and that's precisely why independence matters: we integrate with Dutchie rather than competing with your POS, and our platform keeps working if you ever change it.
Exactly what connects, with honest depth labels
We'd rather under-promise here than get caught overclaiming: Dutchie stores connect through custom integration onboarding, not the real-time native sync our Treez integration runs. Here's the honest ledger:
| Data stream | What flows | Cadence | Powers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer list | Emails, names, phones, and consent state, imported through a header-tolerant, dedupe-checked pipeline mapped to consent records. | Imported during onboarding | Day-one sending, plain-language segments |
| Menu & catalog | Products, brands, and prices from your Dutchie menu, feeding product-led campaigns with links back to your store to order. | Feed built with you during setup, refreshed on a schedule we configure together | Catalog-driven campaigns, menu links |
| Offers & promos | Current discounts and specials, so deal-led emails reflect what's actually running. | Via the configured feed | Deals digests, promo features |
| Wallet cards & signup QRs | Apple and Google Wallet cards with live promo artwork, store QR signup flows, per-budtender tracked QRs, all POS-independent. | Live from day one (no Dutchie data required) | Loyalty signups at the counter, live-artwork cards |
| POS revenue attribution | Register-verified revenue per campaign requires our deep ticket feed, which runs on supported POS integrations (Treez today). We label that depth honestly rather than pretending. | Treez-first today | Click tracking (totals) in the meantime |
Everything here is read-only against your Dutchie store. Consent state travels with the import and is enforced at send time on every send.
What you get from week one: catalog-driven campaigns from our suggestion engine, a drag-and-drop designer with your products and menu links, plain-language segments, sending on dedicated IPs, and wallet cards with live promo artwork, the one card in cannabis whose face changes with tonight's promo.
Setup: your first week
Custom onboarding is measured in days, and sending starts before it finishes.
- Day 1
Customer list import
The header-tolerant importer maps your export, dedupes, and routes opt-outs to suppression. This alone is enough to start sending safely.
- Days 2–3
First campaigns go out
Sending starts on your dedicated IPs under the warm-up governor while the catalog feed is still being finalized.
- Week 1
Catalog and offers feed live
We build the feed with you during onboarding. From then on, product-led and deal-led suggestions draw from your real menu.
About Dutchie's own marketing add-on
Dutchie's Loyalty & Marketing Pro is a real product with a real advantage: it lives inside the POS you already use, and one vendor for everything is genuinely convenient. But it comes with two structural trade-offs. First, it's locked to Dutchie POS. Switch POS someday and the program goes with it. Second, the email side is young: Dutchie's own public onboarding docs include email warm-up guidance, the tell of a sending program still building reputation. Our infrastructure runs dedicated IPs per store with an automated warm-up governor and measured head-to-head deliverability results.
On wallet passes, Dutchie's public materials describe "scan to earn, scan to pay", a checkout utility. Useful, but no artwork story: our cards push live promo images to the card face. For the full side-by-side, see the Dutchie Loyalty & Marketing Pro comparison.
Versus a generic ESP bolted onto Dutchie
Klaviyo and Mailchimp weren't built for dispensaries: Klaviyo tolerates cannabis email but bans cannabis SMS, Mailchimp enforcement is a coin flip, and both put you on shared IPs whose reputation you inherit rather than own. More practically, neither drafts a campaign from your menu. You get a blank template and a subject line to invent. Our platform is cannabis-disclosed and approved end to end, and the campaign engine does the drafting from your store's own data.
